This looks slightly easier to solve than the first division, as three stand out on what they have achieved so far, Temeritas, Prince Of Gold and Able Mind. The latter was outpaced on his second start at Warwick, but picked up well near the finish to get second. That was over six furlongs, so it would appear to be a logical move to step him up, but as he is by the sprinter Mind Games, there is a ready made excuse if he runs out of steam at the distance. Prince Of Gold produced another fair effort at Beverley when a close up third, and will surely be placed to win a nursery if Reg Hollinshead takes that route, but Roger Charlton will no doubt have bigger plans for Temeritas if, as TEAMtalk reckon, he opens his account here. A first foal of the useful Tamarisk, Temeritas ran third in what could turn out to be a decent maiden at Salisbury two weeks ago, as the winner, Soldera, is highly rated by James Fanshaw. With a Gosden inmate just in front of him and runners from the stables of In-form Amanda Perrett and John Dunlop in close attendance, it will be a surprise if this colt does not open his account soon, and this looks a straightforward opportunity.
