Verdict

Lady Buttons is 9lb higher than when landing this 12 months ago and her preferred option today is the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle. Tree Of Liberty has changed stables since last seen in April but there are possibilities about northern raider Double W's on his form in the spring and wind surgery is likely to have benefited Whatswrongwithyou. Magic Saint wasn’t disgraced in the BetVictor Gold Cup at Cheltenham and the drop back in distance should suit but this trip looks much too short for No Comment. ASHOKA has done nothing but improve over the last two years and it’s unlikely an absence since June will be an issue. The grey has an excellent strike-rate and acts of soft ground so shouldn’t be far away.
