Verdict

This may not be as competitive as first appears. Philip Hobbs holds a strong hand, however, with Westend Story, who has had a run, and top weight Jerrysback. Any market interest in the returning Sametegal should be heeded while Larry will strip fitter for his run at Ascot. As You Like was in good form over the summer and Jonjo O’Neill Jr takes off a handy 3lb while Joueur Bresilien had an excuse for a poor run at Aintree having won earlier at Ffos Las. MOLINEAUX won off a higher mark at the start of the year and ran a lot better than the final result suggests here on his reappearance. He could be the value, though Bennys King and Wilde Blue Yonder could also enter calculations.
