Verdict

Recent winners of this include Grands Crus and Harry Topper and the form is usually worth following. David Pipe, trainer of Grands Crus, saddles Un Temps Pour Tout this year. A Grade 1 winner over hurdles, he only found Vicente too good on his chasing bow at Cheltenham and should make a bold bid. But BEAST OF BURDEN would have won at Chepstow last month had he not unseated Paul Townend at the second last. He is held in high regard and is built for chasing and a line through eventual Chepstow second, Abracadabra Sivola, suggests he should have the measure of easy Exeter winner Native River in receipt of 7lb. Port Melon was impressive at Kempton and Killala Quay arrives off the back of a win at Uttoxeter, though is more exposed than most. Twelve Roses was pulled up at Cheltenham after winning at Wetherby but Value At Risk is a very interesting debutant as he's run well in top-class bumper and hurdle races over the last two years.
