In depth

Verdict

The testing ground may prove the main danger to LANEQASH as he’s well clear of these on today’s terms. Roger Varian’s colt made a winning start at Ascot before narrowly beaten in Listed company at Doncaster by New Mandate, who went on to land the Royal Lodge, and Jim Crowley prefers him to Mujbar. Nastase won a Listed race over 6f in soft going at York while Star Of Orion also steps up in trip after going close in a valuable sales race on a trip over to the Curragh. Existent is upped in class after winning a maiden on heavy going at Newmarket while Percy's Lad beat Fountain Cross in a conditions' race at Nottingham and is also preferred to Roscioli.
