Nawaadi can make the most of the weight that he receives from Final Bid, with Midnight Diamond, Kinetic Power, First Feerie and Diarius all expected to go well. Nawaadi failed to score in five outings on the Flat for Marcus Tregoning, but the former Sheikh Hamdan-owned gelding did not take long in making his mark over timber, coming good on the second of his two visits to Taunton in January. Given a break since, he lines up fresher than most on his handicap debut, and should have the stamina to last out today's trip. Final Bid has risen to the top of the weights on the strength of his two wins over hurdles, and he is now 5lb worse off with Diarius for the two-and-a-half lengths that separated them at Huntingdon last month. Midnight Diamond caused a minor shock when opening his account at Bangor but is open to some improvement, while Kinetic Power is still a maiden but has kept good company in the main. Kick And Prance finished well down the field on his last visit here and needs to find a lot more, but the mare First Feerie is no back number judged on her winning effort at Ascot in February. Nawaadi is the pick in the opener.
