Reduced to racing in plating company early this year, Ballista has finally come good and won three of his last four starts. This is tougher but he's a sprinter in form which is more than can be said of Tiddliwinks. The latter has been well beaten since landing a couple of Group class sprints over 6f back in May but the minimum trip on fast ground brings out the best in Desert Law as when winning at Ascot last month just ahead of Taajub. Both of the latter pair have claims but Secret Witness, Ballesteros and My Girl Anna would prefer some cut. The three-year-olds Excelette and Angles Will Fall should go well but a speculative vote goes to KINGSGATE NATIVE. The seven-year-old is having only his second start of the year since joining Robert Cowell, who has some terrific sprinters in his care, and is still capable of a big run as he showed when fourth in last year's Nunthorpe.
