Verdict
A race with plenty of imponderables and the obvious question as to whether Ghayadh can defy the penalty accrued for his Beverley victory. Oliver Reed was heavily backed before disappointing on his debut here, and he'll need to reverse form with Alkhalifa in order to win this. With that thought in mind, we’re happy to take a chance about HELVETIAN. A relatively cheap purchase in comparison, he is out of a dam noted for producing sprint winners and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa appears a positive. Usher has already been gelded but he’s no forlorn hope with Roger Charlton’s string starting to hit form. The well-bred Bullingdon appears likely to need further on pedigree and is watched with an eye to the future.
