        Verdict

        It must have been tough for Frankie Dettori to choose between REMARKABLE and Johnny Barnes and we’ll side with his judgement. It’s some time since the four-year-old last visited the winners' enclosure though his sixth in the Royal Hunt Cup represented a step in the right direction. Realize was able to take advantage of a helpful turf mark and is two-from-two on it for connections. An 11lb rise makes life much harder. Straight Right makes some appeal on debut for Andrew Balding as he had landed a Listed race in France. Rusumaat has been a model of consistency and he’s sure to be thereabouts, while Early Morning won a handicap from a 2lb lower mark last year and he may appreciate this drop back in distance.
