Shahin, Pawtucket and Strategic Mount are the three for the shortlist in this very trappy maiden which is probably best watched for future winners and preference is for the more experienced Shahin. Godolphin are doing well in the maidens at the moment and the unraced Pawtucket commands respect and looks sure to be fit enough to do himself justice. He is a son of Cape Cross and looks sure to be heavily involved. Strategic Mount is a son of Montjeu and shaped with promise on his Salisbury debut. He will improve for the run and can run well at a nice price. Preference though is for the Marcus Tregoning trained Shahin. He is impeccably bred, a son of Kingmambo out of a Sadlers Wells mare and will appreciate the cut in the ground. He ran well in a big field at Newmarket on his debut and was a good second over this course and distance last time, both good class races and on each occasion staying on well. Shahin can make it third time lucky.
