Verdict
Dirty Rascal has changed stables since beating Salute The Soldier at Goodwood and is now 10lb worse off with the runner-up, who has since gone one better at Goodwood and beaten TABARRAK (NAP) at Ascot. However, Richard Hannon’s gelding is the pick of the weights here and also 2-2 on this track so should come out on top today. Hannon also runs the filly Red Starlight but she’s been hard to catch right this year. Makzeem won a handicap over course and distance in July but really needs some give in the ground and ran a shocker at Ascot last time. Vanbrugh and the others face a stiff task at the weights.
