This looks ultra-competitive as several arrive in form. Madeed may prove the pick of the three-year-olds as he had Roseburg and Ventura Quest behind when third at Goodwood in July and beat Black Shadow and First Flight on a return visit to the Sussex track last month. Arab Dawn has had a good season, however, and travelled strongly for much of the trip at Doncaster last week, though appears to have a bit to find with Madeed on a line through winner The Corsican. Energia Davos won at Haydock last month when Queensberry Rules and Busatto were behind but was only fourth to Running Deer at Chester earlier and may find the ground faster than ideal. Queensberry Rules cane right back to form at York last time but the consistent SPIRIT OF THE LAW ran another fine race in second and could turn the tables here. The latter gets a tentative vote with Border Legend another possibility as he won over course and distance in July.
