Another race where not too many can be ruled out and it looks as competitive a heat as any on the card. A low position is usually an advantage and the in-form Impeller is fancied to extend his run of solid efforts. Greta D'Argent is another tough and consistent Mark Johnston horse that will not be too far away and has to be considered in any betting plans, while moves for Blythe Knight, Putra Kuantan and Solo Flight should be monitored closely. However, Impeller arrives here with his confidence on a high and has the right attitude for such a closely knit handicap as this. He should find the ground very much to his liking and, as he proved at Goodwood last time, he now has plenty of new avenues to explore after proving he has the stamina to cope with a trip beyond a mile. The booking of Kieren Fallon for Blue Spinnaker will ensure that the Bluebird gelding's claims do not go unnoticed from the betting ring. But his high draw is far from ideal and the confidence has to be limited about the Yorkshire raider. Mcbain appeals as a likely type of those available at longer odds but Impeller has the capability to quicken at the end of his races and is just preferred.
