Verdict

A small but select field for this Listed Race with the likes of Dallaah, Rosehearty and Ruby Rocket taking on the less exposed Unshooda, who gets the vote. The selection showed promise on her York debut when second to the useful Glaramara and stepped up on that when successful at Kempton last time, leading over two furlongs out and only needing to be pushed out to beat Danclare by over two lengths. Any further softening of the ground should not hinder the daughter of Machiavellian, who is taken to give Barry Hills another winner. The Michael Jarvis-trained Dallaah made a winning debut at Lingfield over six furlongs but has failed to trouble the judge in two starts over the minimum trip since then. She may do better back over today's trip but is probably best watched. Rosehearty is entitled to be thereabouts but has been found wanting in better company since winning her Catterick maiden. Hugh Morrison's Ruby Rocket lost her unbeaten record when third at Salisbury last time and may again have to settle for minor honours. Irish raider Southern Bound was well held in similar grade last time and looks opposable, as does Roger Charlton's Tentative, who has yet to race over further than five furlongs. An interesting opener than but one in which the vote just goes to Unshooda.
