In depth

Verdict

Quite a few have shown promise but the fourth place run of HELLO BAILEYS at York last Saturday was a pleasing start, only beaten under 2l by the more experienced and useful Oh Purple Reign. The Johnston yard have a good record returning inmates to the track quickly. Written Broadcast is interesting as he may have come up against a couple of progressive types on debut at Doncaster, whilst Good Earth continues to perform consistently but may be vulnerable once again to an improver or newcomer. Sir Oliver and Owney Madden have shown ability but require improvement and Fox Duty Free and Station To Station make most appeal of the newcomers.
