Verdict

Baaeed won this for the Haggas yard last year and My Prospero returns to action having gone close in both outings in Group 1 company last term. Modern Games has won four times at the highest level though was beaten on a trip over to Keeneland last month and is closely matched with Jadoomi on last year’s form in the QE11 at Ascot. The latter beat MUTASAABEQ (NAP) in the Celebration Mile but Charles Hills’ charge improved for the fitting of blinkers and has won both subsequent starts including a recent defeat of Native Trail at Newmarket with the re-opposing pair Light Infantry and Checkandchallenge further behind. He should be competitive at this level this season and gets the vote. Sun Chariot runner-up Laurel made a winning reappearance at Kempton and can get involved while Chindit was third in this last year and beat stablemate Lusail at Ascot subsequently.
