Verdict

Diocles Of Rome has run well in better company since returning from a break so warrants close inspection while Almufti still looks well weighted, despite having gone up a pound for finishing fourth at Ascot. Marshal Dan showed plenty of grit at Haydock and Boy In The Bar has slipped to an attractive mark, though hasn’t been at his best so far this year. There are a few three-year-olds in this who have been lightly raced including Baashir and Evening Sun. Epic Endeavour is in good form but it’s probably worth forgiving KARIBANA his latest run at Newmarket and as he got very warm on the way to post. He beat a big field here in July and shouldn’t be far away again.
