GLASS HARMONIUM has swerved a few potential engagements of late and is fancied to gain compensation here if taking his chance; the main danger may prove to be Charlie Farnsbarns. Sir Michael Stoute's progressive colt was last seen winning the Hampton Court Stakes at Ascot in June. The drop in trip may not be ideal for this strong stayer however looks the classiest horse in the line-up and he can make it three second-season winners from the last four renewals. Peligroso has had two starts since joining Goldolphin but makes his UK debut this afternoon. He gets plenty of weight from his major rivals and it would be unwise to rule him out with the stable in terrific form. General Eliott was well-held at Epsom last time out and he has a little to prove after a break, Pure Poetry looks sure to appreciate the slight drop in trip today but may prefer some rain, whilst Suits Me is a decent front-runner when on song but he didn't shape with too much promise on his reappearance at Doncaster last week. Of more interest then is Charlie Farnsbarns who was last seen down the field at Haydock behind Confront. This quicker ground will be in his favour however and he looks likely to have come on plenty for that run. An interesting contest despite the lack of potential stars. Preference is for Glass Harmonium.
