BROOMIELAW looks to be progressing well and with Mick Kinane an eye-catching jockey booking, the Ed Dunlop-trained gelding is fancied to see off a strong challenge from Drunken Sailor, Press The Button and Class Is Class. The selection has a 7lb rise in the weights following a Newmarket win back in early August. That was his handicap debut and as he gains experience and continues to develop there is no telling how good he might turn out to be. After his solid effort at the Curragh last time, connections may have been asking themselves 'what shall we do with the Drunken Sailor?' and the answer is to bring him across the Irish Sea. Paul Flynn's gelding looks high enough in the weights but if he handles this quicker ground then he cannot be taken lightly. Bound By Honour shaped with more promise last time out at Goodwood and hasn't been with the yard for long, Charm School won a weaker race at Kempton last time out and needs to improve, whilst the same applies to Royal Destination following his narrow York success last time out. Antinori and Press The Button are both consistent, and the latter still looks handily weighted, whilst the step back up in trip will suit Kavachi. Class Is Class is edging up the weights; he didn't appear to have too many excuses for his defeat at York and whilst he is still learning, the feeling is that he is opposable. The consistent pair of My Aunt Fanny and Cill Rialaig join Sweet Lightening (whose run last time out was too bad to be true) on the shortlist, however it is Broomielaw who can provide Alex Ferguson with a win and bring back fond memories of Glasgow.
