Verdict

Selino and THEMAXWECAN finished second and fourth respectively behind the impressive Fujaira Prince over 1m6f at Royal Ascot. On 4lb better terms and over a longer distance, Mark Johnston’s stayer can reverse the form. Stablemate Rochester House finished ahead of Moon King when fifth in the Ascot Stakes having earlier finished behind latter, along with Blue Laurate, Just Hubert and the selection, at Haydock. Carnwennan was staying on when sixth in the Northumberland Plate having struggled to find daylight and finished ahead of Rajinsky, who ran a career-best eight days ago, and Reshoun but was behind the improving Australis. Roger Varian’s four-year-old must have a cracking chance in this while True Destiny is still unexposed on Turf.
