In depth

Verdict

I K Brunel made a winning reappearance at Fontwell but couldn’t cope with the step up to Grade 2 company at Cheltenham, though probably found the ground softer than ideal. It will also be quite testing here and THE BIG BREAKAWAY makes most appeal of the two carrying a penalty as he thumped a good yardstick at Chepstow when making his debut under Rules. Papa Tango Charly found only one too good at Ascot but will need to improve on that to land this while San Rumoldo was a disappointing favourite at Taunton. Craigneiche won a summer bumper at Market Rasen but it remains to be seen how strong the form was. Killer Clown shaped nicely at Huntingdon and has nothing to fear from Midnight Glance on that run.
