      Verdict

Ascending has run a couple of decent races so far at Leicester and Koy Koy found only the odds-on Saga too good at Ascot having made his debut in an above-average novice contest at Salisbury. Saga’s stable run DREAM BY DAY in this and the Shalaa colt can only improve on his fifth on Kempton, where he was very green and hung both left and right in the closing stages. Definite will be more interesting when tackling handicap company but Sweet Summer shouldn’t be ignored with Roger Charlton choosing to pitch her in against the boys on her introduction.
