Verdict

Solid Stone probably produced a career-best in landing the Winter Hill in first-time cheekpieces at Windsor but more will be needed to upset likely hot favourite AL AASY. A winner twice here at the start of the season, the four-year-old has been gelded since narrow defeats in the Coronation Stakes and Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket and should outclass his four rivals. Ilaraab is better than he showed in the Ebor and Foxes Tales is also a previous course winner but Ad Infinitum has a mountain to climb on these terms.
