It's proved tough to carry a penalty to success in this Group 2 in the past but the reliable Caspar Netscher looks sure to run his race again. He had B Fifty Two behind when landing the Gimcrack at York, though this 6f will be a tougher examination of his credentials. Along with B Fifty Two and Factory Time, he was also behind SAIGON in a Listed race over C&D in July. The placings were reversed at Goodwood the following month but James Toller's juvenile clearly didn't enjoy that track and his latest third to Shumoos at Kempton, ahead of Crown Dependency, shows he's back on track and he gets the vote. Otto The Great and Swiss Spirit are still on an upward curve but have more to do than in recent wins at Windsor and York respectively.
