In the annual cavalry charge for the Weatherbys Super Sprint, we like the look of Don't Tell Mum ahead of, mainly, Tournedos and Sienna Gold. Richard Hannon has dominated this race virtually since its inception and rarely fails to bag some money at least. The best of his four runners would appear to be Don't Tell Mum, who was sixth in a very good Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot last time. That represents very decent form and, with only 8st 2lbs on her back, she holds obvious claims. It is rare for David Barron to send one this far for a race so Imperial Sound has to be afforded respect, while Annatalia scored well last time and is well regarded by her trainer. Tagula Sunrise was a good second in the Hilary Needler two runs ago, which is fair form, while Tournedos showed very good form to be second at Royal Ascot's Windsor Castle Stakes so expect a big run from him. Bond City is weighted to get closer to Imperial Sound than he did last time out, although the draw has not been as kind to him, and Alpaga le Jomage has a couple of lengths to find with Tournedos on Royal Ascot form, as has Celtic Spa, although the latter has a relatively feather weight to carry. Grand Option has proven himself tough and, even though he has not raced for 52 days, the first time blinkers are interesting, and Sienna Gold, whose unbeaten record came to an end in the Queen Mary Stakes, is another that looks set to run a very good race. With her in mind, we return to Royal Ascot form, which looks set to play a big part here and leads us to side with Don't Tell Mum as the selection.
