Realism gets the selection in the finale ahead of Merrymaker and Head To Kerry. Working on lines through Smart John, Realism is narrowly weighted to get the better of Merrymaker and we will stick with that view, as he won fairly comfortably when beating Smart John, who has won since. The selection has also won three of his last four races and, judged on his last win, seems to have more to come. Looking at the others, Head To Kerry is now back to the mark from which he won at Goodwood last September, so has to be considered on that basis, and he showed signs of a return to form last time. Greyfield is well weighted based on his 2000 form but has been beset by injury since then, and the others probably have a bit to find overall. They might be up to it, but for us, Realism will take some pegging back.
