The market will be useful with little form to go on but there's no more interesting runner than ALPINE BREEZE who's suggested ahead of Lesanda, Soft Drink and Be My Light. Soft Drink has a penalty to carry for her victory at Fontainebleau but she has three runs under her belt which will stand her in good stead against some less experienced rivals. Lesanda is the second foal of an unraced half-sister to some smart sorts and is a rare runner at the track for her Yorkshire based handler. Reinriver and Valeries Girl finished close together at Lingfield and are entitled to improve but the form doesn't appear to be out of the ordinary. Be My Light is from a good family but her yard doesn't have many winners in these types of races unlike Don Cantillon and it may be well worth taking a chance with his runner on debut. She is a half-sister to the smart chaser and hurdler Clan Tara so looks the part on paper and the booking of the talented Giles Hawkins is another positive so it will be well worth checking the market to see if there are any whispers on the wind for Alpine Breeze.
