Verdict
Supporters of BEACON LODGE have been frustrated since the six-year-old won at Haydock in May but Clive Cox's entire rarely runs a bad race and can gain some reward for his consistency here. Colonial may be the danger as his confidence will have been boosted by an all-the-way success at Warwick and he's already won three times at this level. Stablemate Yaa Wayl probably has a bit to find, however, and Navajo Chief finished last in this grade at Haydock after winning a York handicap. The three-year-old Chilworth Lad could go well but Himalya and Joe Packet both have plenty to find at the weights.
