In depth

Verdict

Milton Bradley has his team in good order at present and the Welshman is taken to strike with Fly More while stable mate Whistler rates the biggest danger ahead of Proud Native and Strathclyde. The six-year-old has held his form well this year in the main and was recording his third success of the current campaign when coming late to pip Whistler in the dying strides over course and distance earlier in the month. The Lycius gelding is well suited by fast ground and, despite being 1lb worse off, he is once again taken to come out on top. Whistler has since franked the form by overcoming trouble in running to beat a competitive field at Haydock and once again has place prospects while Proud Native is well in to the veteran stage of his career but retains plenty of enthusiasm for the game and is only 4lb higher compared to last month's Newmarket success so has to be feared under Darryll Holland. Strathclyde ruined his chance by refusing to settle last time when well behind the selection but possesses a fine turn of foot and has strong claims if able to reproduce the form of his victory in a valuable sprint at Ascot previously.
