Verdict

Another difficult handicap but Polish Corridor comes here in excellent heart and is taken to gain a deserved success with Analyze, Face The Limelight and Pinchincha as the main dangers. The Michael Dods-trained gelding is a most consistent and game performer at this level and has put up two highly creditable performances this season. The four-year-old was a close third of 19, beaten two lengths behind Sporting Gesture at Pontefract before being narrowly denied by a well-treated three-year-old at Redcar earlier in the month. The form of both outings appears rock solid and a bold show can be expected from the son of Danzig Connection who has conditions in his favour once again. Face The Limelight made a winning return at Folkestone last month but had nothing in hand and could struggle off a 7lb higher mark. Analyze has proved a reliable sort this season but has a poor strike rate for one of his ability and Mick Channon's charge looks weighted up to his best at present. The booking of Kieren Fallon for Noble Pursuit could prove significant while Pinchincha is on a longish losing sequence but will be sharper for his recent outing at Kempton and this represents a drop in grade so can't be ruled out despite his advancing years.
