Some lightly raced and progressive fillies in opposition and marginal preference is for Nasij with Waldmark and Nofa's Magic the likeliest alternatives. Nasij boasted smart form as a juvenile putting up her best performance when third in the Group 3 May Hill Stakes at Doncaster and showed she had trained on when making a winning seasonal reappearance in the Masaka Stakes at Kempton last month. Ed Dunlop's filly is penalised 3lb for that success but should have no difficulty in confirming the placings with Sun On The Sea and Tuneful who finished fourth and sixth respectively. The daughter of Elusive Quality has plenty of stamina on her dam side and is also expected to improve for this longer trip so rates as the one to beat. Sir Michael Stoute could hardly be in better form at present so Waldmark, who beat stable companion Halawanda at Kempton on her sole start last year, clearly has to be respected particularly as she has reportedly been working well with winners at home. Nofa's Magic ran a race full of promise behind Halawanda on her debut over course and distance last month and is entitled to improve while recent Nottingham scorer Miss Ivanhoe steps up significantly in grade but has solid place claims.
