Not much form to go on in a race that has produced some smart performers in recent times but La Cucaracha sets a fair standard for newcomers such as Ma'soola and Bee Minor. The Barry Hills-trained daughter of Piccolo looked a useful prospect when recording an impressive five-length success on her debut at Leicester last month. There was plenty to admire about the way she travelled before producing a fine turn of foot to go clear and there should be plenty of improvement to come from this Queen Mary possible. Mick Channon introduced the high class Queen's Logic to win this event two years ago so Ma'soola, who is a Green Desert half-sister to numerous winners, has to be feared while Richard Hannon saddles another interesting debutant in the shape of Bee Minor, who hails from the same family as former high class sprinter Pushy. Brian Meehan's two-year-olds have also been in fair form and Incise is another who makes plenty of appeal on breeding being a Dr Fong half sister to Tuesday's Duke of York Stakes hero Twilight Blues.
