Winds Of March knows her way around here and can double up at the expense of Pont Allaire, Ithaca and Sahool. John Gosden's filly will not be going to the Epsom Oaks as the trainer has indicated that she would suit The Curragh better. Her breeding is almost a who's who of European middle distance racing of the last decade and she should be good enough to dispatch a decent line-up. Pont Allaire deserves her chance after a decisive win at Nottingham in April. John Gosden trained the second placed runner on that occasion so should have a line of form. Ithaca was a very big disappointment at Chester and hails from a yard that is 1 from 14 over the last two seasons at Newbury. Sahool should appreciate today's surface rather than the fast ground she encountered in the Pretty Polly. Crystal Curling could be the fly in the ointment as her run at Chester was much better than the bare form figure suggests. Winds Of March is given our selection in a tricky renewal.
