In depth

Verdict

In what is probably the most-competitive race on the card, Cat de Mille gets the vote over Monsoon Wedding and Boppys Pride. Cat de Mille comes here as a recent improver, having stayed on from off the pace to finish second at Chester last time. He can build on that here and go well. The penny has also dropped for Monsoon Wedding, who won well at Hamilton last time and she can play her part in proceedings today. Boppy's Pride has been running well of late from around today's mark and is another to consider. Duelling Banjos' most-recent win came in a similar race to today's and, particularly if the going turns soft, he could go well, while Nightspot is not ruled out of running well from hs current mark as he steps up in trip today from recent Turf efforts. Finally, blinkers might bring some improvement from Passing Hour but, for the selection, we return to Cat de Mille.
