Dubai Power gets the call here ahead of Beacon Spirit and Drill Sergeant. Dubai Power got going too late in a Listed race at Salisbury last time and, even though seven furlongs may well suit more ideally, she has form enough as it stands to make her a major player today. Beacon Spirit was second in a fair Haydock maiden on his debut and is fully entitled to go well today. Having shown debut promise, Copperwood caught the eye staying on at Haydock last time and, despite dropping back in trip from that run, has also to be considered. Drill Sergeant is another to have shown debut promise and Mark Johnston's colt is another to consider. Others to get a mention are Jeremy Noseda's Segal, Richard Hannon's High Plains, who is surely better than his debut suggested, and Wave Hill, who was green on his debut. For the selection, though, we will stick with Dubai Power.
