Plenty of potential improvers however the most interesting looks to be TRADING NATION who is narrowly preferred to Maswerte, Papyrian and The Desert Saint. Roger Charlton's colt was well-held on his debut at Salisbury (started 4/1) but improved markedly next time up when second to Devil You Know at Nottingham on his first start this season. A win was anticipated last time at this course but he flopped badly (8/13 favourite) and has a bit to prove now. However this half-brother to a multitude of winners, including the stables top handicapper Fifteen Love, could be leniently treated now assessed for handicaps and this mark of 74 may be very lenient. If you're not in a forgiving mood, then it may pay to side with Maswerte who signed off last year with a good second to Dimander at Lingfield and he is open to improvement, as are fellow handicap debutants Aurora Sky and Papyrian. Duke's Art wasn't beaten far last time in a bunch finish and cannot be overlooked, whilst Zebrano may do better now dropped back to seven furlongs. Admiral Sandhoe and Retro should give backers a fair run for their money, however a bigger danger may be The Desert Saint who must run better now returned to quick ground. The unexposed pair of Equinine and Integria can run well with both stepping up to seven furlongs, but in one of the toughest races on the card to call it is Trading Nation who is narrowly preferred.
