Lupe winner Halicardia has a 3lb penalty to carry for her Goodwood success but looks a progressive performer and is taken to follow up at the main expense of Well Known and Classical Dancer. One disappointing effort on soft ground apart in the Masaka stakes on her reappearance, the selection has done little wrong in her career and showed good battling qualities to win at Goodwood. The Peter Harris-trained filly should have the race nicely set up for her by the front-running Well Known, who is likely to find this tougher than the maiden that she won at Salisbury last time. Classical Dancer lost no caste in defeat behind Gonfilia (a winner since) at Goodwood last month and may improve for the longer trip, while John Gosden's Proud Tradition is probably better than she showed in the Cheshire Oaks last time. Geoff Wragg's fillies always have to be respected but Incheni has a bit to find on form with Classical Dancer on running at Goodwood. Si Si Amiga and Shuheb need to improve on what they have shown so far to trouble Halicardia, who is taken to continue on the upgrade.
