The apprentice handicap that starts the card can go to Escalade, but Bakiri, Lucky Leo and Man The Gate rate as big dangers. The selection ran well from a three-pound higher mark for today's rider at Folkestone last time, form that entitles him to respect in this contest. Bakiri keeps getting raised for placed efforts, which seems a little harsh, but he can still go well under a decent rider, while Lucky Leo improved to score at Hamilton last time and, now that he has got the winning thread, a four-pound ratings rise should not stop him from running well. Tasneef is closely weighted with Bakiri on Warwick form of June 20, while Eastborough is on a winning mark, but he has been for a few runs now. Man The Gate looks good for some money and, with a very good rider booked, should go well. As we say, Escalade ran well last time might just provide the answer to this contest.
