In depth

Verdict

Vocatus made his debut on heavy going at the Curragh and, though unable to peg back Land Force, it was a performance full of promise. The winner's yard is represented here by CORAL BEACH, who was impeded at the start on her debut at Naas and didn't get the clearest of runs. That was over 6f so it's a surprise to see her dropping back but she's by Zoffany so should have plenty of pace. Silver Service defied her 25/1 SP with a fine effort in what looked a good maiden over the course and distance but the remainder with experience will need to raise their game in what looks a strong event. Dom Carlos is a half-brother to three winning sprinters and could prove best of the newcomers.
