    Verdict

    Change Of Velocity won a Gowran maiden than a Down Royal handicap in good style and though eventually well beaten in a much better race at the Curragh didn't get the run of the race. MING, a debut winner at Dundalk, didn't perform badly in Group 3 company at the Curragh before beating two rivals with plenty in hand at Gowran and can continue his progress. Spanish Point ran in some strong maidens last summer but finished last on his reappearance in the 2000 Guineas at the Curragh before easily landing a Leopardstown maiden over a mile. Grace Rafaela landed a Dundalk maiden last August but that was over 7f, as was her only subsequent start in a Listed contest on the same track in October.
