Verdict

GENERAL MACARTHUR is still in the Irish Derby but his two runs this season haven't been up to scratch though he appeared to find 1m2f stretching his stamina in a Listed race at the Curragh on Saturday. This looks a good opportunity to get back to winning ways. Al Mohalhal ended his first campaign with a victory in a premier nursery at Naas and his two runs this year have been on Polytrack at Dundalk where he hasn't done as well. He has to concede weight to the selection and is overlooked. Tony The Gent was the surprise winner of a Gowran maiden in April that hasn't worked out and Misty Millie's facile victory over the course and distance in April was gained in very testing conditions.
