In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott has won the two most recent renewals and dual hurdles winner Saint Felicien was returning from a very long break when leading for a long way in the race won by Facile Vega here last month. The winner's yard is represented by Shanbally Kid, a winning bumper and hurdler who looks certain to appreciate the greater emphasis on stamina over fences, and INDIANA DREAM. The latter, whose dam has produced winning jumpers with all four offspring, joined Willie Mullins after winning a bumper in France then beat a big field of maiden hurdlers in a canter at Fairyhouse. Having won a 3m Cork Grade 3 over hurdles, Hiddenvalley Lake looks a very smart staying prospect for fences
