Duke’s Command is fitted with cheekpieces having found one too good at Chelmsford and is preferred to stablemate and newcomer Zarandeo. But ASSAILANT made a promising start with a third at York and this extra distance will suit the half-brother to middle-distance winners. The latter’s stable companion Lanfranco only made a moderate debut at Lingfield but, like Mach Ten, is another likely to appreciate this longer trip. Jacques Cartier is a newcomer representing a yard in flying from and is preferred to Shadowofyoursmile and Polly Sherman.
