A good pot has attracted a strong field headed by Us And Them, narrowly beaten by Ornua in an Aintree Grade 2 in April and better for his recent efforts in a Grade 2 at Gowran and a tough handicap at Cheltenham. Henry De Bromhead has three entries with Minella Times, who makes his handicap debut, possibly the best of them though he'll need to jump better than he did at Clonmel last time. Jetz has won around here and has been running in strong company while his stable companion Whisperinthebreeze led for a long way in the Irish National in the spring. GLENLOE has only had three runs over fences and is another making his handicap debut though looks well treated on his form over hurdles and gets the nod. Everlastingpromise has been in cracking form, making most over 2m2f at Thurles, and though 10lb higher looks an obvious threat.
