The front-running Caesar Rock jumps and stays though could do with testing conditions. Frontier General won a Dromahane point-to-point and started favourite for his hurdling debut over this trip at Cork but was beaten a long way. Gracchus De Balme went for £80,000 after winning a point at Lisronagh last November and will have found 2m too sharp in a Fairyhouse bumper in February. Harald Hardrad was very impressive in a Clonmel bumper last month and looks a fine prospect for hurdling but Prevaricate's close second to Uhtred at Naas looks the best hurdling form on view as the winner ran well in the Grade 1 Royal Bond at Fairyhouse on Sunday. WHATDEAWANT beat the smart Ginto in a Fairyhouse bumper but couldn't go the pace in a Leopardstown Grade 2 before staying on. He looks an exciting recruit to hurdles and can make a successful debut.
