In depth

Verdict

Brog Deas stepped up in trip and into Listed company after completing a hat-trick but couldn't cope. He's 9lb higher than his last winning mark and will find this tough. Sean Og Coulston has never won beyond 7f but the assessor has taken pity on him after a couple of moderate efforts and he's not without a chance of conceding weight all round. Johnny Murtagh was on board when MAN OF ERIN gained the second of his two victories at Fairyhouse last month and iit looks significant that he's reunited with him here. The four-year-old didn't quite appear at his best over 7f at Leopardstown last time and this looks his optimum trip so he can regain the winning thread. Miracle Cure couldn't quite get to the in-form Custom Cat over 7f at the Curragh but that was a fair run from Jim Bolger's colt and he can give the selection plenty to think about.
