In depth

Verdict

Freedom Of Speech finished behind a stablemate in the first juvenile Turf race of the season at the Curragh but didn't show the expected improvement over today's track and trip next time. KIRSAPP was well supported for what looked a hot Curragh maiden last month and ran a fine race with the form receiving a massive boost when the runner-up won a Listed race back there next time. The winner is trained at Ballydoyle who have Pimlico engaged here and the €360,000 son of No Nay Never will be expected to start paying his way soon. Lopes Gold is out of a mare who won over this trip as a two-year-old but Karakoul's dam won over 1m2f.
