In depth

Verdict

A competitive opener with PROSCHEMA taken to defy a hike in the weights. An impressive winner at Cheltenham last month, this extra distance looks likely to bring further progress from Dan Skelton’s charge. Colonial Dreams was narrowly beaten over track and trip last time with Canyon City back in fourth while Giovanni Change bids for a hat-trick raised 10lb for his latest success at Market Rasen. Grand Morning beat Corrieben Reiver when scoring at Ayr while Jersey Wonder had the measure of Jarveys Plate in a four-runner contest at Exeter recently. Plumpton winner Trincomalee ran well again at Cheltenham last time and is another to consider.
