Paul Townend came in for plenty of criticism after what looked an over-confident ride on LAMBRO at Thurles when his mount looked an unlucky loser behind Crash. The jockey appeared to delay his challenge until it was too late and was eventually beaten a short-head. Compensation awaits here as there probably isn't anything of the winner's calibre in this line-up. Grancore Girl, who finished 15 lengths behind in fourth, is hardly likely to reverse the form but winning point-to-pointer Caddy Man will ensure there is no hanging about and could battle on for a place. Rich Revival will be better for his debut over hurdles at Clonmel but Toon River could provide the biggest threat as he has shown promise on his last two starts and will appreciate the stiffer test of stamina he's likely to get here.
