The Scuttler was ridden by a 7lb claimer when scoring at Lingfield last time. Coupled with a 3lb rise in the weights, he'll need to improve on that to follow up. A 5lb rise proved beyond Skytrain at Wolverhampton on his latest start while Red Gift opened his account in a maiden on the Fibresand at Southwell and will find this tougher. Lexington Place is worth noting on his reappearance, but a speculative vote goes the way of YORKSHIREMAN. The latter beat a subsequent winner in heavy ground over 6f at Pontefract in October and today's extra furlong should suit on that evidence.
